Northcourts is a
large Victoria house situated at the Christchurch Gardens end of
Northumberland Avenue which runs parallel to the A33 into Reading,
near to the University and Royal Berkshire Hospital
The licenced house is split into 8 bedsits and one studio flat. The
bedsits share showers/toilets situated on the first floor—there is
permanently available hot water along with gas-fired central
heating. The house is secured with smoke alarms and
each room has approved fire door and a fire blanket, fire
extinguishers are available on each floor. The smoke alarm system,
fire extinguishers and fire blanket are professionally checked
annually along with the gas boiler.
The public areas of the house, including the bathrooms, are cleaned weekly and toilet rolls are provided.
Tenants are expected to leave showers and toilets in a clean
condition when used.
Bedsits contain a bed, wardrobe, chests of draws, desk, table and
chairs. Each bedsit has a kitchenette with basin and double hob and also has a television, a fridge-freezer, combination microwave with
grill and convection oven, kettle and toaster. Bed linen and towels
are provided along with duvets and pillow and crockery, cutlery,
cookware and glasses.
The windows are double-glazed and heating is controlled by a valve
on each radiator. |
